Ok, a lot of people have been asking me questions and I seem to be repeating myself again. I don't want to be rude, but it does get kind of tiring. Sooo, I'll just go ahead and answer the common questions here and hope that whoever feels the need to ask one, will see my answer here before hand.
1. Why don't you draw realistic people?
A: I don't quite find drawings of realistic people very entertaining as I see them everyday. Either realistic people, objects, animals, etc; they just don't make me "motivated" or "inspired" when drawing. Anime and regular cartoons are a part of my life and have made me who I am now, which I am completely thankful for. They also made me to open my eyes and makes friends with similar interest. They are very inspiring to me and push me forward to keep improving myself when I know I can.
2. Can you teach me to draw?
A: Sorry, but no. I have drawn and even taught a few people in my past and most of them claimed the work as their own or even said that they were just natural learners without credit to me. I can't stress how frustrating it is when someone takes credit from you. I guess the drawing part doesn't really matter since I still do that now, such as requests, but someone last year had the nerve to sell my drawing for his own profit and even asked me for another one to sell that as well. Like, really? Who does that? Anyways, another reason I don't like to teach is that you can't really learn anything without learning for yourself. I know how stressful it is trying to improve your drawings. Trust me, I KNOW. My drawings may seem "perfect", but they really aren't.
3. Can you give me some tips on how to improve my drawings?
A: Well, first thing...DO NOT GET FRUSTRATED IF SOMEONE ELSE DRAWS BETTER THAN YOU!!! I've learned this just recently lol...(fail XP). For most people, it pretty much just blocks the motivation that you need as you feel the need to just give up. Though for others, this kind of gives them a wake up call to do better. Second, if you're like me and can't draw hands and feet for your life or even certain poses, USE REFERENCES. Now when I say use references, I don't mean edit the picture and claim it as your own (guilty as charge back from a few years ago...). Just look at the picture and then kind of visualize how you want your own picture to be. Third, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!! Unless you're some kind of art prodigy, then you really need this. I've heard so many people that say "I can't even draw a stick figure" or "I can only draw stick figures". The passion is obviously there, but you just feel that it's a hassle or hopeless to even bother. IT'S NOT. I can't tell you how many times I felt like I wanted to quit, but I'm thankful that I didn't. Without art, I'm nothing. Art is something where I can express my feelings, making me to feel so much better.
4. What are you???
A: Um...Well if you're talking about my ethnicity, then I'm half Korean (South) and White. Lol though I wish I was full Korean... :0
5. Weren't you an art thief?
A: Eh, well...It's not something I'm proud of admitting, but I was back in a couple years ago. I don't exactly know why I did it, but I felt like it was fun and enjoyable to just edit pictures and claim them as my own. Now that I've grown out of it, I realize how childish and stupid I was to think like that. I'm now against art thieves. Please forgive me for my past actions. TT___TT
6. Do you take any art classes?
A: Well, I did in elementary school only because it was pretty much mandatory. But other than that, no. I pretty much learned on my own.
